Once upon a time there was the most polite man to ever walk upon God’s green Earth. He was minding his own business, when a monster flew down from the sky and landed next to the man. The man said “Hello there Mr. Monster! How are you today?” To which the Monster responded: “DON’T TALK TO ME!!!!” and blasted the world’s politest man to smithereens. The End.
True story. Except it wasn’t the politest man. It was a 4 or 5 year old me. Instead of minding my own business I was playing in the yard with my cousin Suzey. The monster was a bee, and he landed on my belly button. I really did say “Hello there Mr. Bee! How are you today?” and instead of blasting me to smithereens it stung me, but to a kid that age it had about the same effect.
All those cartoons where they tell you that if you leave a bee alone then it’ll leave you alone… LIES, ALL LIES!!! To this day it takes every ounce of willpower not to flee in terror when a bee flies around nearby.
Anyway, todays horrible memories were dredged up by a request from Jonathan (who happens to be Suzey’s older brother and was there that day) for me to draw “killer bees”
