sleepyKingEven if you’re the big cheese you will still have days like this. I’m doing a little practice with digital ink. I like how this turned out. I used a variant of ‘liquid ink’ in Painter12. I used a larger brush for the bigger lines, then filled in details and shading with a smaller version of the same brush.

I find it funny that the ink looks much better if it isn’t perfect. It’s the little bumps and imperfections that give it character. If you try for perfect lines you lose some of the personality. In the past I have ruined good sketches by trying to ink them. Now that I’m doing it on the computer I don’t run that risk. Not only do I have an undo button, I can even erase the ink.
